El Paso Coverage: HEMLOCK with Locals SECTION 6, PWABK and WRATH & GORE

Axes to Grind got to catch up with metal tyrants HEMLOCK after their month overseas touring in Europe and now embarking on a Southwest metal mayhem tour with El Paso’s SECTION 6.  Their tour together kicked off in El Paso this Sunday night, and will also end in El Paso; for HEMLOCK, this tour is a continuation of their previous U.S. tour.  Their current tour is also supporting the band’s recent October 3rd release of ‘The Only Enemy’, which is available HERE for purchase.  HEMLOCK also just finished a recent recording for a music video just prior to performing at the House of Rock.  Be sure to catch HEMLOCK, as well as SECTION 6, on their trek across the Southwest (tour dates below).

During the interviews with AtG, each band provides insight into the tour plans and their current and future initiatives.  The newest addition to the SECTION 6 family, frontman Matteo Martinez, also discusses the band’s new material, which was debuted tonight and will be heard throughout the tour with HEMLOCK.  They also discuss the prospect of a video that is in works and will be released by years’ end.

With the boys of HEMLOCK (Chad Smith, Brian Smith, Jezy Ward and Aaron Cobb), AtG went off on tangents during the interview; I mostly just hung out with these guys as they wound down after their performance.  The night was a bit hectic with some re-ordering of stage performances, but HEMLOCK metal-ed the hell out of HoR anyway.  The audio clip includes the experiences and shared thoughts of a Euro-tour for an American metal band and the nocturnal wonderings that occur when you party hard.
